DraftKings Advice: How To Build Tonight’s Team Around Stephen Curry; Win $12,000 Free

KentTwo great NBA teams are unbeaten at home and the Spurs are determined to keep it that way in the best game of the season. The Warriors won their only previous meeting by 30, with Stephen Curry $10300 scoring 37 points in just 28 minutes. Kawhi Leonard $8300 and LaMarcus Aldridge $7300 will be out for revenge.

Klay Thompson $6700 scored 39 last night with ten 3-pointers as the Warriors won by 18 in Dallas. Curry had “only” 31 but was one rebound shy of a triple-double. Marreese Speights $3700 reached double digits for the fourth straight time and may get a few extra minutes tonight if Andrew Bogut $4200 (toe) can’t go. My hunch is that Tony Parker $4500 and Tim Duncan $4300 will roll back the calendar a few years, while the Spurs bench — Manu Ginobili $3500, Patty Mills $4200 and Boris Diaw $3000 — could make the difference.

Winning nine of ten has propelled the Hornets almost to third place, but their game against the Nuggets is available only in All-Day DFS action that closes at 6:00 EDT. Our focus is on the other eight, beginning at 7:00.

The $150K Sharpshooter is only a $3 buy-in (FREE with your initial deposit at DraftKings) where the top 11,780 finishers (from up to 57,498 teams) win cash. First place earns $12,000. The deadline is 7:00 EDT; join before it fills and you can make lineup changes until each player’s game begins.

lineup-3-19I didn’t think Russell Westbrook $10500 and Kevin Durant $10100 would both play over 30 minutes (and triple-double) last night in Philadelphia. They’ll try to do it again against the Pacers, who are at home with a day of rest and fighting for their playoff lives. Paul George $8300, Monta Ellis $6300 and George Hill $4300 have a tough assignment.

The Rockets, who had trouble putting away the Timberwolves last night, must travel to Atlanta. James Harden $10400 spoiled a 29-point, 14-assist line with nine turnovers, while Patrick Beverley $4700, Donatas Motiejunas $3000 and the rejuvenated Michael Beasley $4400 made fantasy owners happy.

At home on a four-win roll, the Hawks are primed. Paul Millsap $8100 and Al Horford $6500 will play heavy minutes and if Kent Bazemore $5000 (knee) misses another start, Tim Hardaway Jr. $3500 becomes playable.

It’s the third game in four nights for the Pistons, who outlasted Sacramento riding the starters hard as usual. Marcus Morris $5100 and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope $5600 had the hot hands. If nobody plays any D this evening, Bojan Bogdanovic $5200 and Thaddeus Young $7200 can stay hot for Brooklyn. Andre Drummond $8000 and Brook Lopez $7800 both put up big numbers in three previous clashes.

What a turn of events for Lance Stephenson $6100. After a terrible season in Charlotte and 43 forgettable appearances as a Clipper, he’s not only thriving in Memphis, he’s starting at point guard against Chris Paul $9400 and his former teammates. The Grizzlies have no way to stop CP3 and DeAndre Jordan $7400, but Lance deserves the big salary raise and might even justify it.

My sample lineup assumes that Steph will do MVP things but Kawhi will prevail. Duncan is a pretty decent punt, I get my second choice at PF and have $15000 to fill the final three spots.
